Profile
Service and experience designer with a background in architecture and Design Informatics, using qualitative research, observation and prototyping to understand people within wider systems and translate insights into testable experiences. Experience spans AI product design, physical-digital interaction and cross-functional delivery.
Work experience
Shenzhen Chiri Technology Co., Ltd.
Mar 2025 – Dec 2025- Contributed to the 0-to-1 design of an AI-powered tarot web product, defining information architecture and core flows for a 28-day MVP launch and supporting 10+ post-launch iterations.
- Conducted interviews and usability sessions with 50+ seed users; findings on guidance, interaction flows and visual consistency informed subsequent design priorities.
- Redesigned the card-drawing flow, prompts and visual direction, increasing unassisted task completion from 70% to 85%; 76% of surveyed users reported that the revised design provided a clearer and more immersive experience.
- Collaborated with developers and the product manager from handoff to release, adapting designs to technical constraints and reviewing implemented interfaces through annotated issue reports.
Selected projects
Project Designer · Collaboration with Lindisfarne NNR
2026- Combined evidence from 2012–2025 Lindisfarne NNR records, on-site observation and reserve-manager consultations, identifying that static signage could not explain changing habitat sensitivity across seasons and tides.
- Synthesised 4 seasonal phases and 4 tidal states into a 16-scenario interpretation framework, organising guidance as Wildlife Now – Why It Matters – Guest Protocol to connect ecological conditions with appropriate visitor actions.
- Designed and iterated 2 connected prototypes, the Clock-Wildlife Time Translator and Mudflat AR; reserve-manager feedback highlighted their usefulness in explaining changing ecological conditions.
- Ran a small beta test with 28 participants; 71.4% found the experience useful for understanding changing wildlife conditions, and 64.3% said the guidance made appropriate visitor actions clearer.
Interaction / Installation Designer
Jan 2026 – Apr 2026- Synthesised rainfall data and 8 soil variables across 9 global locations with field research at Salisbury Crags, reframing the brief from visible geology to underground microbial ecologies and using rainfall and soil chemistry to guide the experience.
- Tested 5 physical and visual directions; feedback revealed that multi-element concepts were difficult to interpret, prompting a single focal interaction with clearer links between environmental data, movement and soil.
- Exhibited at InSpace in a showcase attended by 400+ visitors; observation and feedback identified 3 usability issues around guidance, interaction expectations and spatial integration, defining priorities for the next iteration.
Truth of Choice
Design Researcher · National Library of Scotland
Sep 2025 – Dec 2025- Analysed the NLS’s unstructured 19th-century broadsides, mapping witness accounts on a shared timeline and revealing how accounts of the same event varied with each witness’s position, role and perspective.
- Designed a 3-stage Figma prototype for investigation, curation and reflection using 8 witness perspectives, positioning users as editors who select testimony and shape the story; proposed an evidence-constrained AI generation flow that limits narratives to selected historical accounts.
- Presented the concept to NLS experts, who highlighted the gamified experience and transparent use of AI as strengths and expressed interest in further game applications.
Expandable Emergency Healthcare System
Lead Designer
Jul 2021 – Oct 2021- Conducted 30+ interviews with healthcare workers, patients and emergency-response experts, identifying requirements for safe patient and staff flows, adaptable capacity and reuse beyond a single crisis alongside rapid deployment.
- Translated findings into 3 design requirements — rapid activation, flexible circulation and long-term reuse — shaping a modular healthcare system designed to expand to approximately 6× its transport footprint for emergency and community use.
- Contributed to a granted utility-model patent (ZL 2021 2 3008408.8); the project won second place in the Intelligent Box House Innovation Design Competition.
